At the Houston Warriors Baseball Academy, we obviously focus on the game of baseball, but as instructors and coaches, we want to give our athletes and community more. We aim to instill character, manners and leadership traits that will help carry them through life as they leave our program to become college or professional athletes, business professionals or community leaders. A great example of this are the efforts of our coaching staff and families of the Warriors 8U team.

The Houston Warriors 8U AAA team took home the Super NIT championship this weekend in style, going undefeated all the way! They participated in the Deep South Super NIT tournament at Portland Municipal Park. This group of guys played at an extremely high level the entire weekend and it paid off. This Super NIT championship would be the 8U team's second in a row. Last month, they competed in the Hurricane Harvey Memorial Super NIT at Baseball USA and swept the competition yet

The Houston Warriors 8U were competing in the Cy-Fair Sports Association (CFSA) Fall Sunday Double Header League. They had a terrific season in the league as they went undefeated and allowed only three runs all season long! Led by Coaches: Genaro "G" Grijalva, Tommy Fonseca, Bobby DeDear, Jay Rodriguez and Javier Cordova. Defense wins championships! We would like to give a special thanks to all the parents and coaches that have made this team into who they are today! Awesome
